Each of the twelve Asian high-growth markets offers British businesses a distinctive set of challenges and opportunities to explore and capitalise on. Business has told UKTI that the top hurdles to doing business in these markets include: legal and regulatory, customs, finding contacts, finding the right information and language & cultural differences*.
The good news is that with UKTI's help and expertise these obstacles can be overcome. Throughout this campaign UKTI will actively engage with UK businesses through an outreach programme including a series of roadshows, a high-profile conference and networking meetings and a national and international digital and communications campaign.

Who we are
UKTI's Asia Task Force brings together the expertise, experience and insight of senior figures from business and government to focus on boosting British trade with 12 Asian markets. It is chaired by the Business Secretary Vince Cable and Lord Powell of Bayswater.
Since 2009 we have held 25 events across the UK to spread the message about these opportunities, providing practical advice, market intelligence and expertise to over 3,000 businesspeople. Market research showed 26% had already increased their business as a direct result of attending an event and a further 67% expected to do so in 1-3 years.
In December 2011 we launched a drive focusing on promoting the opportunities to UK business in China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
